Learn about our passionate team, and how you can help!
Our amazing team comes from a very diverse background. We have retired Forest Service, retired DNR, retired police, retired business people and others who bring with them an array of skills that benefit the VFRC. Our volunteers age from 5 to 88 and are the key components of the successful operation.
Established in 1983, the VFRC distributes supplemental food to the low-income residents and homeless population of rural Colville, Washington. On average over 420 households (1,108 individuals) are provided with approximately 65 pounds of food per month.
Our Mission is to provide immediate hunger relief through food assistance and related resources, educate our community about the issues of hunger in our area, provide hands-on opportunities for neighbor to help neighbor, and improve the health of needy residents through nutrition education.
By sponsoring a child, you are providing them with five (5) bi-weekly deliveries of fresh fruit, produce, dairy, meats and bread, that will help supplement their daily nutrition in the summer months, when food security is at its highest risk.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve conditions. Your generous donation will fund our mission.
